Eres Cada Solitario Instante (You Are Each Solitary Moment)

This short film about a young man who committed murder (and then simply walked away) leaves my mind blown. Done with little dialogue but with quite some build-up, this film just amazes me with its simplicity and impact.

Here's the director's given snippet about the film:

Inspired in (sic) the poem "You are not the others" (The iron coin, 1976) by Argentinian writer Jorge Luis Borges, this film tells the story of a young man that kills in cold blood a person who has entered into his house, and then escapes from the crime scene.

This short film is about a guy who is looking for a girlfriend, and finds a left-behind planner instead. Amidst beautiful string music and a black-and-white landscape, this movie shows us the initial awkwardness and undeniable spark between two people looking for love.

Oh, and that ending? Cute.

This short film about a man rowing a boat to a "special place" is simple, yet rather thoughtful. I find it interesting how we progress through the man's life, and yet ultimately find out his destination at the end.

This nice little documentary is about how the people of Los Munos (in the Baracoa municipality of Cuba) watched a movie for the first time.

It's quite something to see their faces light up over Charlie Chaplin's antics onscreen.

This short film is about a woman who is talking about her fictitious life to a telemarketer on the phone.

Would you make up a story for a stranger to believe you are someone else? I think I would, if my heart couldn't take it too.

Classic noir, complete with femme fatale. Simple, yet effectively caught me unawares. I applaud this.

A multi-awarded short film narrated by a humble watch. Such genius in 10 minutes with wonderful shots, a subtle plot, and black-and-white significance. Wonderful, wonderful film.
