Presencia (Presence)

This short film about two women and a possible crime scene raises more questions than answers. Who wants to kill who? Who is the guy in the hoodie? What actually happened that night?

[Also check out Obsesión, another film by the same director, which has other women amidst other (stalkerish) crimes.]

Huecos (Gaps)

The ever-ticking clock, the gaps in the bookshelf, and the short messages mean something to the old man, but what, exactly? Great story-telling on this one, and what a revealing ending, too.

Runner

This suspenseful short film features a running man, who, for some reason, gets himself into very weird action-packed scenarios. A lot of things may seem not to make sense initially (like brief English dialogues and what not), but it will all be clear at the end.

I don't quite know if it's a spoiler to say that it ends up with a very meta note, but it sure does.

Ella

This short film about a man pining for a woman starts out very nicely... Until the foreboding sets in. Great storytelling on this one. Also, beware of stalkers.

Al Otro Lado (The Other Side)

This short movie involves a woman working for Hopeline, the suicide hotline. She receives a call that makes her question a lot of things, especially the calls that make or unmake a person.

The audio could use some work here, but I really felt that tension slowly being built up. Oh, the trials of wanting to save a life.
