This short film is about a man who steals pigs, supposedly to eat with his wife. Set amidst a town where very few people get to eat meat, this story goes from odd to downright silly as the days pass by.

This short film is about a man's green card, and the girlfriend he can choose to bring with him - provided he marries her. With beautiful shots, amusing back stories, and great storytelling, this short film made me smile and hope.

This award-winning short film features two boys stumbling upon a man who has, to put it as they have, "gone on a trip". With the story told in beautiful black-and-white, we look at the story of an overdosed drug addict through the eyes of these young kids. Such a hearty end note.

Contagiando Humanidad

This short film is about an old mailman and an old lady puppeteer he delivers mail to. It also introduces the concept of Teatro Lambe Lambe, which is "essentially a form of puppetry or shape animation that takes place inside a confined but easily transportable space, usually a box placed on a tripod that, normally, one spectator would watch at a time." (Definition taken from here.)

El Otro José (The Other Jose)

This short film is about a taxi cab driver who finds a life-changing moment after going through a rough ordeal - one wherein he gets a pretty bad rejection. His life - and his overall persona - will then seem to indeed change for the better... Or so they say. He'll show her that he has, anyhow.

This starts rather darkly, but it lightens up considerably as the movie progresses. Fun film.

This short film is about Alma, a woman caught in the tangle of human trafficking. She begins the day simply, with not many expectations, but ends up in a terrible situation that is not of her own choosing.

This is gritty and sad. It also makes you reflect on the horrible, illegal industry where a lot of people get rich from, on the pain of others.
